This is an old pic, but I thought I might post this just to get people's opinion on this.
I made this image just to try out postwork and rendering an image in multiple layers. The moth is not that detailed (sorry about that) because my main focus was supposed to be the wings. The postwork was a pain. I rendered this image in 4000 x 3000 and I had four separate layers to combine and shade. Brought my machine to it's knees. This image was later seen in 3D World magazine and some other places in various forms.
trueSpace7 users might recognize it.
